Hang in there! We are given only what we can handle...and it sounds like you are passing with flying colors! I'm really sorry about your moms diagnosis...but have this to say... My aunt was diagnosed with Multiple Meloma 10 years ago and still doing well! It's not curable but it's controllable! My aunt also has diabetes. I know the diagnosis is a shock....but hang in there. It IS controllable. {{{hugs}}}
Sounds like you're doing very well in school to. That's great!

Ok, I am just going through a lot right now and I just need a couple words of encouragement from those that are going through some of the same things.
I just found out that my mother has multiple myeloma. She is in great spirits and great general health, but it is just really sad. We just lost my father inlaw a year ago to a heart attack at a realatively early age. It has been a long hard year for my wife and the family.
I am trying to spend more time with my mom and taking my son down to see her as much as possible. My mom told me to not allow spending time with her to have an impact on my grades as she is very proud of me. I am maintaining a 4.0 gpa, on the presidents list, and told that I will be receiving an invitation to join a international honor society.
We have been dumped on with snow and I feel like this semester is just dragging. I am going NUTZZZZ waiting to hear if I have been accepted into the program.
I have a 4.0 gpa, I scored a 95.33% overall on the Hesi (my lowest section was a 92), and an 800 on the critical thinking. Do you think that my chances are pretty good? A lot of people have told me how competitive the program is, and then ask if I have applied to any other programs. I am only apply to the program at Gloucester County College in NJ.
Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. I feel like we all need it once in awhile. I am trying to be strong for my family, but I need it too. : ) Thanks...
