hey everyone!! i have just gotten an assignment for my psychology class and i'm really excited about it. the assignment is to do a 1000 word paper that convinces the reader that a fictional character i choose suffers from a particular psychological disorder. anyway, i have chosen monica gellar as my fictional character with ocd as her psychological disorder. this is where i am hoping fans of the show can help me out. i have done some googling to back up my theory and i have a few episodes where monica displays ocd. i have tow the but, tow dirty girl, and a couple others that i'm not sure of the episode name. however...there are sooooo many episodes to go through. i need to narrow down my search so if you know of a particular episode that i could search for on youtube i'd appreciate it. or if you happen to have any stories where monica exhibits ocd please share. i forgot how much i loved this show and i have to say this is the most fun i've had doing an assignment in a while!!

also...i posted this in general nursing discussion because most people...not just students love/loved the show friends:hpygrp:!

OMG i lOVE friends!!! Umm the first episode that came to mind was an episode where chandler decides to clean the apartment for monica and ross comes in and says oh no you didn't put this back right, and they realize how everything in the apartment is the perfect distance from each other, and alligned the correct way and everything. Chandler and Ross take out the photo album to look at pics of the apartment to get an idea of where things go. Then when Monica gets back she walks in the door and IMMEDIATELY notices things that are wrong, like refrigerator magnets! lol Such a good show. have fun with your paper!

this one is great because she didn't just show him how to make the bed. she explained her reasoning as to why she does it the way she does. the headboard, she explains, is like the sun, and the flowers on the blanket have to point towards the headboard so that they are facing the "sun." And the label from the blanket has to be in the bottom right or left corner (don't remember which one). she's THAT specific!!

thanks anyway!! it was a fun paper to write!! i watched the show occasionaly and liked it, but never enough to consider myself a big fan! what was i thinking...the show is hilarious!! oh well...that made the research all the more fun. you're right...monk would have been a good one! another character i considered was 'dexter' but i don't know the show at all and figured it would take me forever to 'research' him plus his psychological disorder!!
