Could someone plz help me with this. I am an lpn nursing student I graduate in 4 1/2 months and we have to pass an exit exam. I am so nervous and scared. I don't know if I'm going to be ready. I do well in school. But the school is so fast passed it's like I learn what I need to know to pass my test and then I can't retain any of the information because I have other test the next day to study for. I don't know if i'm retaining enough information to be ready for the exit exam and the Nclex. it worries me. What do I need to study for to help me. I would like to start now if it would better me in the long run.. Do I take review test online or somethin? Will the instructors give of a review before taking the exit exam? someone plz help me. PLZ GIVE ME POINTERS

In our PN class we took ATI Comp predictor at the end before we graduate.
If this is what your taking, it's not as bad as you might think. Look over all the material youv'e learned through your program and you shouldn't have a problem. Ours seemed to ask more Med/Surge questions than anything else. Good luck.:)

We are doing ATI questions at the end of each final exam we have. It's 5% of our final grade. But I always score in the 40-45% which is bad. I Hope my % is gonna rise up. I'm in my last quarter of school and it scares me because we have to pass the exit exam. With me scoring like that I need some kind of help. I'm nervous
Are you reading your ATI books? Our teachers would take questions from them and use them on our test, so we had to read them.
We don't have ATI books. But the instructor does get a lot of our test questions from the NCLEX books. Most of our test are scenarios. I do pretty good on the test. But still dont know if thats enough. We do ATI test on the computer but im so overwhelmed with school its like I dont read why the question was wrong. I rush through them just to complete them so I could study for the test we have
I understand completely. It's very overwhelming, but you have to slow down and understand why the answer is right or wrong.
Don't let these test get you down, read your NCLEX prep book and text books.

What are the best books to get to study for?

You can get the ATI review course online. It costs about $450. Suggest getting that course and Saunders Comprehensive Review.
We have ATI TESTING we do through school that we have to log in to answer nclex questions. Is that the same thing because its mandatory for our school to take it. Its part of our tuition.

The school I attended required that we pass an online NLN exit exam w/an 85%! Was it tough? I'm not exagerating when I say it was one of the hardest tests that I've had to prepare for in my life! I am not a good test taker.
We were given pointers on how to study for this exam. NCLEX-PN 4th edition by Saunders was a text book that we used throughout the course. It helped when studying for the never-ending stream of tests, it condensed information, and was in many ways, clearer and more explanatory than the text. It also got our brains into training for NCLEX-style questions.
We were also told that using different study guides would most likely confuse us, and that if we kept up and continued to make decent grades, it would not be necessary to take an NCLEX review class.
The exit test that I mentioned had 181 questions and was diagnostic. We had 3 times to pass it. The first time I took it, I got a 79%, a big fat F! But it also gave us a breakdown on our strengths and weaknesses per the standardized NCLEX breakdown/sections.
I was weak in MH, psychosocial, and OB.
We had 10 days to prep for the retake. I studied the Saunders chapters and reread my text for the areas that I did poorly. I did random study (in other words, just did the Saunders CD study questions, no reading) in the sections that I scored higher.
I also spent considerable time memorizing lab values and major drug classifications.
I scored in the 90s on the retake.
Currently, I'm preparing for NCLEX.

We graduate in four months and the exit exam is coming up soon and i dont know how soon to study? Should i wait until the instructor give us pointers or start ahead of time? What is the best time to start studying for this exam? Im so nervous. What would be good pointers on passing it the first time. What were ur study habits? How did u end up passing it the second time? Is saunders comprehensive review helpful? Help me please. What helped u?
