hey guys,
I just took my NCLEX this morning, and here it is 3:30 in the afternoon, and I of course attempted to use the PVT to determine my test results. I got the popup "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time."
I'm pretty much freaking out at this point. I took the test in under an hour, I had 75 questions, and at this point I cant remember what most of them were. I know I had 2 dosage calc questions, a LOT of select all that apply, lots of delegation questions and "Who would you see first" questions. Is this a good sign?
I'm panicking a little here. Help.

You either did the trick too soon or it could be a good sign. People always recommend to do it after 24 hours.
Anyway, good luck. When I took myself, I just said to myself that it was done and it's over. I can not fix anything beside waiting for an official result. Right now, just relax, watch TV or just lay down quietly on the couch.
Maybe keep checking BON website if they update it frequent. You might see your name before NCLEX even have quick result available.
My state, Michigan posted my license within 30 hours.

This is the third post this week by people worried about the test stopping at 75 questions. There are only two reasons for the test to stop at 75.
1. You did extremely well on the test and you passed.
2. You did very bad on the test and had no chance of passing.
Anything in between and you would have gotten more questions. Did you do extremely well in school? (you passed) or barely passed nursing school? (you failed)

This does get frustrating. No offense to the OP, this is not personal....but what kind of nurses are we raising who cannot handle a wee bit of stress?! Stress is when 2 of your 5 are icu holds and intubated on drips, an angry hallway patient and an unresponsive ped otw via EMS and guess who has the last empty room!?
Have an adult beverage, believe your program prepared you well and relax. Many opportunities to freak out are coming.

In ontario we have to wait 5-6 weeks for result and they are mailed out so there is no way to check. Be happy that you can check so soon.
