No, look up the many threads on this subject. You do not need these publishing companies to pass EC exams. Yes they will tell you that you won't pass without them but I'm living proof that it isn't true.

Do your research and do more than just call these companies. They are not a good source of info.

Go directly to EC, not Rue, Chancellors, College Network, any of them!

They are very expensive and will trap you into a contract.

Well, Excelsior College designs their own exams, the others (Chancellor's , College Network, Rue, etc are publishing companies that publish study guides for Excelsior college. You can buy them on E-bay for cheap.....But Excelsior developed the test and tells you what references to study from....Dont get suckedc into paying thousands of $ for study guides...

Do what you must but beware...

Please do not make this mistake! They WILL cheat you and charge you quite a bit to do so. Buy your books at discounted prices through Amazon.com or ebay.com Trust me. I have been through it. Also you can contact the better business bureau for the state they are located in, Indiana. They will tell you how many marks they have against them.

i did it with i study smart- i have a 3.5 gpa and am on my way to the cpne, i am now selling my used guides on ebay store getting the grade and will also sell privately if you are interested [email protected] . but whatever you decide ,i will offer any help that i can for you. good luck
