They will order the drug tests. You can be proactive and do hair or nail test. A lot of the time people with no diagnosis get a monitoring agreement regardless. But, not always. Good luck
Thank you
Do you know if the hair test goes back 3 months or 6 months or longer?
I thought they only put people into monitoring if they have a mild substance abuse disorder or more? Do you know how they decide if someone gets monitoring/ what are things to do to lower the chances of being monitored?

For a hair test it goes back 3 months and a nail test 12 months.
I would have thought you actually had to have a substance use disorder to get a monitoring agreement too but nope.
If you had a driving offense related to any substance you're getting a monitoring agreement I
I know a few people who were accused of alcohol use by an ex love or jealous frenrmy who got monitoring agreements and they absolutely didn't have a problem with alcohol. Alcohol is hard to disprove because the hair and nail tests aren't reliable for alcohol.
Maybe a decent evaluator will be fair with their diagnosis but the head honcho can and sometimes does overrule that. If you can find the names of the fair evaluator that can help .

Do you know if at these inpatient facilities, do they always do a hair and nail test too? Or is it usually a UA/blood test ?
That I don't know. If you're innocent I'd do one and take it with you. I'd have your pcp order it, get the results and give you the results.

Has anyone gone to an inpatient facility in PA for a 'second opinion' in order to avoid being forced into the PHMP program? Please help if you have any advice. Thank you.
