  1. The only job I could find in GA was dialysis. I don't like it, but its a means to an end.
  2. The papers we sign in my program, and the non tempered stickers, say its our sole responsibility for the lab to send a split specimen. Someone I know did this. His specimen was positive, and there was no way to confirm, so it was listed as positive. He was told it was his responsibility to ensure the 2nd sample was sent. Id self test tomorrow morning, as soon as the doors opened. I would ask for an observed urine, if possible. Then, call my case manager and let them know what happened and that I already self tested with a (hopefully) observed urine.
  3. In GA, no hospice, home health, or float pool.
  4. Im in GA. I test twice a month, with quarterly hair strand tests. Your first year is full of anxiety, its going to become your new normal eventually, I promise. The banned/script only meds list for GA is in the affinity app under Help Desk, then guides and documents. I have gone 5 weeks without testing, and will probably get two in a week this month. It happens. Mine are rarely ever spaced out evenly. I would message my case worker in the app about the test taking so long to result. The only time I had one take over a week was when it was invalid, and they were running special tests.
  5. I wouldn't risk it. Ours is also 20 ng, and you can live without beer.
  6. It all depends on the doctor. They're going to frown upon taking the suboxone without a current script. My addictionologist required me to have a hair strand test, so if there is anything that will show (not accusing, just being honest), be honest now with the doctor. I had 3 months of EAP, which helped. I was out of work for 3 months anyways, so not sure if they will make you stop working, etc.
  7. I check in daily. It becomes routine after a while... so I turn off my alarm clock and then check in while making my caffeine. No therapy, but am required to have weekly group meetings through my program.
  8. Im in the GNA PAP program almost 2 years! Standard work restrictions are usually no hospice, home health, and a direct supervisor. I don't remember what SAS is. They will give you a list of the classes, mine were all on paper, I just emailed them back to my contact at the BON. My fine was $1k. I can still work nights, weekends, and OT.
  9. I appreciate everyone's advice, and I'm taking it all to heart. It was a horrible day the other day, and I needed to hear some comforting words. Still putting in applications. Only 17 more months to go! ?. Much more hopeful today.
  10. Sadly, I'm in NWGA, and have applied to no less than 50 jobs in the last year. Even jobs that have no narc access, like an injector for a MH clinic and MDS coordinator all said they will be more than happy to hire me once I'm off probation. The MDS coordinator/ID nurse jobs in my area also are required to take call, so that's a no go. The coworker that read my consent order isn't a nurse, just a tech. So IDK if the BON would even do anything. The tech is a float pool, so HR just said they will float them to other clinics "for a while".
  11. Thank you so much for those kind words.
  12. I've been working dialysis since my consent order became official. God forgive me, but I hate it. I hate every second of it. On top of hating the actual job, there has been issues with me being bullied/used. One coworker printed and read my consent order out loud, on the treatment floor, in front of patients. No one was going to do anything until I went to HR. I am literally treated like a slave, the new guy who has only been there 3 weeks asks why I am asked to do EVERYTHING while others who was free were able to sit behind the desk chatting, even when I'm swamped. When I'm in the weeds, no one comes to help. They tell me "time management" is important... but today, the same coworker got 2 other techs and the manager helping her, and they couldn't even handle the pod between the 4 of them. I have 17 more months left on probation. I have no idea how I'm going to keep going like this for 17 more months. I've been told several times in dialysis, I'm just a tech (I'm an LPN), but they use my license as the second nurse or let me actually be a nurse when they don't want to deal with an issue. I've have so many call backs for positions I've applied for, but once they hear my narc restriction, I'm either told no or ghosted. I understand the other company's view, I really really do. But there has got to be something other than just dialysis. I'm getting my narc restriction lifted July 2026. Any tips/tricks to deal with this? This is starting to wear me down, like really bugging me tonight.
  13. You won't know specifics. They could do a standard 14 panel, a custom one, or a 14 panel with add ons.
  14. I'm in not for alcohol, and I still get random Peth tests. Urine only goes so far back, your peth test is up to 20 something days.
