uhoh21: i need help ladies n gents... pleeeeeze!! i took my boards today and it shut off at 75 questions. im feeling like crap right now, when it shut off on me i wanted to rip the computer screen off the table and throw it at the person proctoring our test. a lot of people are saying you did well if you had a lot of "harder" questions.... what does this mean? i took the kaplan course and all the questions they had were analysis/application type questions. so what does an "easier," recall/comprehension (lower end) question look like? are they as simple as what is the normal value for sodium/potassium? what are the s/s of right/left heart failure?, because i did not see anything like that. i had a bunch of prioritizing, psych and precaution ?'s that were tough to answer. please help!!! i need some re assurance. thanks!

thanks....took my test on thursday still no results on the bon....still praying and waiting.

I'm an RN a little over a year and still remember the stress and anxiety I felt after taking the boards. Mine also stopped at 75 questions. I didn't know if I had the right answers, but I tried to make the best choices based on my prep class. Most questions I was able to narrow down to 2 answers. I passed so I guess my prep classes helped! Best of luck to you, and remember NCLEX is ivory tower nursing....not the real world!

To give you a few answers to your questions:

Average wait time for seeing your name posted is ten days. Earliest that you would see is three days, and since you tested on Thursday, that would be impossible for them to do. When results are received at the BRN, they are manually added to your filel and then your file is reviewed by a human. Only after that, is it given a number to be posted.

I do not see them offering quick results, and there are only about 27 states that offer it. CA is one of the few that actually will permit a new nurse to test before they have received the transcripts from their school. As long as the name is on a list that is submitted by the school towards the end of your final semester. And this only applies to those that attended an RN program in CA.

And I have seen many go to three to four weeks. All dependent upon when your file is complete and if they have received everything that they need.

Best of luck to those of you that are waiting.

(ps. If tested on Thursday, you are only at 2 days post exam. Weekends do not count.)

thx for the 411 suzanne....

hey eso, i too was able to narrow it down to 2, but then i just couldnt pick the right choice..... well i hope it doesnt take 3-4 weeks but i promise to keep you all posted. thx a million for the help you all have given me.

A tip for all of you California NCLEX RN Takers.

Try to schedule your test on a Monday. That way, you may not have to wait over a weekend. Depending on your school...my school was good about having all of our paperwork in on time...we all found that it took just an average of 3 working days. This is just my experience, others will I am sure disagree. xoxo PMN

265 Was Very Agonizing! Lots Of Meds, delegation, and Prioritizing Questions. Unfortunately This Was Not My First Time To Take It. I Tested For Colorado And I Am Still Not Showing Up On Their Online Verification System. I Just Keep Praying. Have You Heard Anything Yet?

Hi Robmatic!

I tested on a thursday also (March 1). I saw my name posted on the BRN website on Day 9 (March 10). So hang in there! :)

hey mom, my test consisted of the ?'s you had, prioritizing, meds and delegating. im still trying to figure out if i had a lot of the analyzing/application type questions. does anyone know the format of the lower end question? are they simply worded like " whats the norm for sodium?" or, "what are the s/s of dvt?" none of my questions were that simple, i couldnt tell where i was when it came to types of questions i had

The results are in........ I PAASSSSSSSSSEEEDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
