Hello..New to this board!

I am new here. I just came across this site in a search for visa screening for TN nurses. I am a Canadian Nurse that moved to the U.S. 7 years ago after graduating and finding NO jobs available to me. (I am from Ontario) I have been working in North Carolina (Charlotte) for 7 years now and currently work in the newborn nursery. I have been renewing my TN Visa every year at the Buffalo border. I am a little "freaked" over the new Immigration "laws" and finding myself up to my elbows in paper work trying to get my CGFNS and visa screen certificate completed. My main worry is the NCLEX examination. It has been SO long since I took my CNATS and even back then it was hard.

I do enjoy working here...if anyone wants any information on working in the U.S. or North Carolina you can email me anytime!

When are you taking your NCLEX exam?

Good luck, you will get out from under all of the extra paper-work soon.

I too was in Charlotte for many years. If you plan on staying in the US for any length of time you should apply for your green card, this would avoid the hassle of renewing the visa and allow you more portability between jobs.

glad to read your thread!

just caught my attention regarding what you said on any information on working in the U.S., just like to ask is it true what my agency informed with me that the processing period for immigrant visa is 12-18months? she filed my papers at INS last may'2004.
