I am a new nurse (ADN) as of May 2006. I currently work in the Emergency Department. I am also taking classes for my BSN. I am researching hospitals that utilize weekend options, Baylor plans, and weekend shift differentials. I am especially interested in if any hospitals have found moral problems with their regular full time nurses when, on occasion, they have to work the weekend to cover the time off accrued by the weekenders. I am also interested in what kind of weekend differentials are being used to offset weekend shortages. If anyone has any information, I will be glad to hear from you, that is, if I can figure out how to get responses. The computer world of emails and other communications is just as new to me as nursing is. As I said before, I am a new nurse.
