hello! im new here! jus wanted ask a question but i dont know if i should ask here? lol! ummm, well why do medical billers make more than lvns? well as ive seen lately? my brother & cousin are med billers and they make 18-20 per hr... and my aunt is a lvn and only makes 14.. and i look online for jobs and i see med billers pay rate is higher than lvns? and im gonna be goin to school for lvn program in jan... i was wondering if any can help should i still take the career if it pays low? thanks much!

Depends on where you work as an LVN...SOME LVNs make 24 an hour....
i live out here in ca, la.... all job postings i see are 14 hr? is it a good career choice?

If you are going into nursing just for the money, since both of your posts stress the point that you wonder if you should pursue a career as a LVN and you state that the going rate in that area is $14.00, maybe you should re-think your decision and go into a different field. That is just my 2 cents.

Medical billing can be a difficult profession to break into. Plus, it's long and tedious with extreme patience and attention-to-detail required. Two entirely different positions, by the way. To me, medical billing is absolutely boring, much like medical transcription. I don't know how medical transcriptions do it, man. I would lose my mind in no more than one week of work.
