Is it the old suit, or more casual? Does it depend on the school? Is it tacky to ask?!
I wore a pant suit. Most people were wearing suits. Some of the guys wore a dress shirt, tie and slacks. A few of the women were wearing more "church clothes" than "business clothes"--cute top and skirt, but not very business-like. That's not to say the right top and skirt can't be business, but be careful if you're buying separates. If you want to wear a suit but don't own one, ask your friends first to see if someone will let you borrow one. My suit was borrowed. It was a tad big but worked out ok.
For the ABSN program I interviewed for, I wore a suit (black pants, black blazer and a button-down blouse). Most other people there were wearing suits as well. You might opt for something other than black, just to stand a bit. Gray maybe, or something with a bit more personality than your standard suit.

This! My borrowed suit was camel colored. I borrowed it from a friend who works in HR and she told me that everyone under 30 interviews in black and so I wasn't allowed to wear her black suit.

I have nothing useful to contribute (we didn't have interviews) but his reasoning is simple and awesome.
