Panic attacks?
Or maybe what are all the different mental health professiionals like psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, psychiatric nurse, Psychiatric NP, therapist, ... etc. For a lay person, this can be very confusing.
Or dealing with stigma of mental health?
Or what kind of therapy is for what? Like what is CBT, DBT, ... etc.

Yuou should take a picture of you right now BEFORE the project. Then take a picture of yourself DURING the project (all stressed out). Then a last picture after you learn how to deal with your stresses. Be great for a health fair!

Lisa, have you thought about getting a sponsor (Hospital, MD offices, Co's Mental Health) to provide some $'s so you could purchase podometers and go it from an angle of stress reduction--'exercise' as there is literature out there to suppport that exercise is one of the best ways to manage stress. I go to health fairs and pick up literature with all the intentions of reading it and place it on my table and lo and behold it gets covered up with other mail and eventually ends up in 'file 13' without my reading of it. My suggestion is go with some type of action display: posters with various pictures of stress management, some relaxation tapes playing or aromatherapy and or podmeters etc. I think you have selected a 'Great Topoc' of concern, or at least something that can or could concern each of us at one time or another as well as the preventative angle. Good Luck Katie

What is the demographic profile of the target audience?
You could offer an overview of stressmanagement techniques or you could just try to teach a few harmless technigues. It really is a broad subject. If you go with the overview don't forget to mention getting drunk, punching a wall and other negative ways to manage stress. Lots of folks manage stress by prayer. It's not high tech or politically correct but it is effective.
