Health Care Specialist in/for the Army-have Qs need As

Published

Basically I just want any and all info regarding becoming a health care specialist for the army. What does that mean? Will I be a member of the army? Is it a paid position? What are the pros & cons? The benefits? I hold no degree (no associates or bachelors), but I have lots of college credits besides the credits I obtained in nursing school. I'm graduated and licensed as of this year.

Thanks much!:p

i hold no degree (no associates or bachelors), but i have lots of college credits besides the credits i obtained in nursing school. depending on the number of credits you can come in at a higher rank.

i'm graduated and licensed as of this year. by what you wrote above it sounds like you are a lpn. if that is the case you would be a 68wm6

thanks much!:p

hope this helps some.

THANK YOU jeckrn - all the rest of you - I am an actual person with actual questions. I scoured the threads about LVNs in the army and didn't quite get all my questions answered, so I posted my question.

Why would my post/new thread raise any doubt? Suspicious much?

i admit, i laughed at just_cause's response as well!! re-read your original post. it is confusing.. it reads like a riddle!!!

for instance, at first i thought that maybe you were asking about a civilian volunteer position because who joins the military and does not get paid? also, why not state that you are a lpn rather then just tell us that you have no degrees but are licensed??

fortunately, jeckrn understood your post to be real, understood what you were trying to ask, and responded. gl!

by the way, all of what jeckrn posted can be found on the army's official website and through a very gifted and talented recruiter. welcome to our forum!
