Health care military recruiter locator, HELP !

Published

Hi

A little bit about myself,

I am a current BSN student. My graduation date is August 2017 ( a year from now). My GPA is 3.7. I am healthy male with no medical condition and no criminal record.

I am greatly interested in joining in the military, preferably the AF, then Army.

I read the threads here and have not seen anyone mention how to find a health care military recruiter. Can you provide any info how to find one?

Another question is that what can i do now to get my foot in the door as a military nurse. What kind of paper works i have to prepare beside completing the program and getting the RN license?

Sincerely thank you

The application process is extensive. Don't be surprised if recruiters don't return your calls until you graduate and pass the NCLEX-RN. The Army is not seeking nurses without experience (2 years) at this time. It is very competitive as our military is downsizing. Good luck!

Thank you for your info. I have read the article you mentioned. It is disappointing to hear that.

Do you have any info about that for the National Guard?

Heck even with your license and experience, don't expect an immediate call-back. Patience and persistence.

The National Guard or Reserve would probably be easier to get into, but just know that they are not a path to active duty.
