Health Assessment Recording

Updated:   Published

Hey AN! As I am starting to prepare to record my head to toe assessment in the next day or two, I thought I would ask you all for tips. Yes, I have already read through ALL the tips and advice in the Course Chatter/Course Tips/Course Search tabs. Just thought maybe someone had additional tips that wasn't mentioned before. My goal is to record it Wednesday and submit all the required papers that same night. I want to relax on Thanksgiving with my kids knowing that I have completed that task. Any tip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I basically had my script in my hand as I recorded myself doing an assessment on a friend. I read the script during the entire 36 minute recording so would have a reminder of what to do.

Back when I took this course more than a year ago, students had to correctly perform 72 out of 88 tasks in order to pass this performance assessment. With this in mind, I basically skipped some of the time-consuming ones (e.g. percussing the chest) and scored an 81 out of 88.

I did mine about a month ago. I followed the PATE form during my assessment. I had it by me the whole time. Passed with 84 out of 88. I was so stressed over this stupid video but it really is easier than it seems.

I totally concur. The TaskStream graders seem fairly lenient when grading the health assessment recordings. My advice to anyone who is worried about this task is to just do it and not let them see you sweat.
