Health assesment- shadow health

Hi eyery body, I am doing health assesment class right now and I am having some tough time with shadow health - Tina Jones. can any one tell me some tips to how to pass the shadow health. I heard that we have to ask lot of questions to the patient inoder to pass the shadow health part of health assesment. Thank you.

Shadow Health was not part of the Health Assessment class when I was enrolled in WGU. Maybe it was, but I totally skipped the course of study.

Are you sure Shadow Health is mandatory, or is it one of several busy work tasks that is part of your course of study?

It is required.

The first shadow health was pretty hard to pass. I took it last semester for university of Texas at Tyler. Our class was pretty structured. You ask her questions in the outline as if you are writing your soap note then you move on to review of systems. So reason for visit, health history, meds allergies, surgeries, etc. then you examine the system depending on which you modules you are on. what's the threshold your professor has set for passing cause at the end of each modules it gives you a percentage or grade. You are able to complete the modules as many times as you like and submit the one you think you did the best on. At least this is how ours was set up. It's getting you used to interviewing your patient

I hate Tina Jones. But so far I'm doing okay. I follow the health history interview process outlined for each system in Bates.

Then when I find something I OLD CART.

I did not like Shadow Health!!! I just passed my health assessment class and didn't really understand how my school was grading that or how to improve my scores. I'm in school to be an NP and was able to pass the class with an B so I'm not complaining but I don't think Tina Jones really helped me much. With that said, I would have my book opened as a guide for what questions to ask. I really don't remember my score but there was always things that I missed and couldn't figure out what else I needed to ask to get all of the information.

Thankyou Kidzcare for you encouragement. I passed the shadow health 80%. All you need to do is look at instructions and it will tell you what to ask to tina jones in each sections.

I need help as well. My instructor is only giving us one chance to get 80% and it's worth 75% of our grade. It's my last class before graduation so I'm freaking out.

I am finding Tina Jones incredibly confusing as far as what to ask and how much to ask. Also I am confused as to when to document findings. Help please
