Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello, it may be kind of early to post, but I am interested in knowing if any one here is applying for the nursing program for Fall, if so what gpa and Teas are you applying with?

3.7 pre req (finishing Micro and Lab, currently an A)

66 Teas score-(took it with just 3 days of half a@$# studying since all the program required was a 60 or above

-future male nurse

I'm currently in the process of completing the rest of my pre-reqs, but the cutoff GPA has been around 3.381-3.5, so I'm sure you'll get accepted c:

Hello!

I'm applying for the Fall. I have completed my pre-reqs and have taken the TEAS (got a 75 with just a few days of brushing up on a few things)

I have a 3.86 GPA for my pre-reqs (not sure about my overall) but I've heard the cutoff has been like 3.4 or 3.5 in previous semesters so I'm personally not too worried about not being accepted, just worried about getting placed in the correct cohert.

Which cohert are you looking to get? I'm hoping for Dale Mabry nights/weekends because I work during the day and can't quit my job (yet lol).

Hey, yeah the cutoff was 3.4 last time, you will definitely get accepted! I am looking to hopefully get the nights/weekends as well, I still need my job lol

Was the teas test hard? I’m not good at math so I’m not sure what to expect

it depends, im not very good at science and it had been awhile since i took a&p 1 and 2, so that was the area i struggled with the most. specially since it was very random in-depth questions that were asked. needless to say i scored pretty badly but then again i also barely studied for it. the second hardest was the english part, again i suggest you study for it unless youre an english major lol. as for the math and reading they were my strongest subjects and what saved my score. to me ive always been good at math, it was basic algebra high school type stuff, i believe i got a 97(reading) and a 96(math) and thats what helped me pass it the first time. i would focus on the areas you struggle with most and a refresher on what you feel comfortable with. you do only need a 60 or higher to apply, and i verified that it makes no difference on a student getting 100 and another a 60. good luck!

anyone else ? lol

Hello!

I recently took the TEAS test, I studied using the Mometrix Test Prep book. I order it from Amazon. I also purchased two practice test from the creators of the TEAS test (I would not recommend it unless you have extra money laying around). Contrary to what reviewers on youtube claim, it really was not as helpful as I thought it would be. However, I did benefit from the practice teas test when it came to the math sections; it is the same as the actual exam except for the wording, numbers, graphs, etc. As for the science section, it does not matter how many practice tests you take, it's so random. Truly I got caught by surprise on about 10% of them. If you would like more feedback, let me know. I'm wrapping up my essay's//studying for my finals for this week but I will be more than happy to help if you anyone other questions.

I submitted my application on 4.22.19 for the Fall entry. Fingers-crossed everything gets received and processed quickly. Anyone else submitted the app yet?
