Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?
I also took microbio at USF, and it doesn't show up on my transcript in webadvisor so I'm under the impression that it won't be accepted. It also says I haven't completed college algebra but I was able to skip that and go straight to other math courses, but it looks like that won't count either. It's a bummer because it means this was a waste of time and money, and I'm not about to retake those courses and wait another 6 months to a year. ☹ï¸ï¸

Literally my struggle. Actually if you go progress towards degree req and switch to ADN/Basic (NOT the Applicant version) then your 3 credit college math should show. I'm in your shoes and very bummed out about the Microbiology. An advisor told me that I "most likely" would be able to substitute it but it hasn't shown up under my transcript (none of my 3000/4000 level courses have).
I'm so sorry I feel like they're making it so difficult- it's unfair. So many places don't accept credits after 5 years and I'm pretty much at that mark with some courses, so I can't afford to wait any longer. I would've been better off not getting a bachelors.
What programs won't accept credits after 5 years?
I will be surprised if HCCs nursing dept touches the itt issue with a 10 foot pole. Maybe my way of thinking is a stretch, but I don't think they will risk their graduation stats or nclex pass rates. If ITTs closure was due to an accreditation issue, i don't see their nursing program having ACEN, CCNE, or any other most recognized accreditation...
Hi!! I applied for the 2017 spring program... My GPA is a 3.2... so I am preparing for the declination ðŸ˜. However, I have completed all my courses so if I were to get in, I would have nothing running concurrent to the nursing classes. I am requesting Dale Mabry nights. I work full time during the day. I have enjoyed reading the threads. Good luck!!

It's so sad, the issue that caused them to close was because of accreditation stuff. Can you imagine working hard to pay for school then it doesn't even count. The main company ITT should be held accountable.
