Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though
@FutureNurse73 Please can you direct me on a link to register to lone star. It keeps sending me round and round. Thank you!
I applied to lone star, Alvin, HCC, San Jac, Lee college, college of mainland, UT health and Pv.
theres a girl that work with me that’s in the program at HCC now she said it’s hard but durable.

here is the link click on the blue apply here for whichever program you are interested in.
Thank you!
Hey @FutureNurse73 thank you very much. What do they mean by advising transcript can I upload an unofficial transcript?
@BriLVN I don't have the rubric but the most points you can get are 8. If you have an A in English and A in Anatomy 1 you should get 4 points for the first category. The second category is the HESI and if you score more than a 90% in all subjects required you should get 4 points as well. This is for Lone Star.
I am not sure how HCC adds up the points.
Thank you very much @FutureNurse73 Yes I have uploaded my transcript, the FERPA form and Hep B form but how do I put in my HESI scores and Cgpa. I am stuck.
Hi all!
I am late to the game. I wasn't planning on applying this cycle but I figured why not. I checked my score on the admission rubric form that HCC has on their website and I have a score of 86/93.
Does anyone know if that's a competitive score?
Also, I'm using my HESI score from almost 3 years ago (would be 3 years on the 21st of this month). Do y'all know if they take HESI scores that would be over 3 years old before the deadline?
I've tried emailing the nursing department at HCC but still no response.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to joining HCCs nursing program with you guys!
https://www.hccs.edu/media/houston-community-college/coleman-college/pdfs/2019/admissions-guides/nursing/Fall-2020-ADN_Admission-Guide_V2.0.pdf scores are valid for three years only. If you did your background check and fingerprints you should receive a letter in the mail. If not I would call the nursing department and ask if they have you in the roster they send to BON.
