HCC coleman Fall 2020

Published

Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:

AP1: B

AP1LAB: A

AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL

AP2 LAB: PENDING

MICROBIOLOGY: A

MICRO LAB: A

ENGL 1: A

HUMAN GROWTH: A

Psych: A

I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.

I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?

Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though

Nope haven’t received anything yet

Hi guys, if anyone was awaiting a reply in regards to taking the HESI remotely check your email! I was missing the critical thinking section for mine and they replied this morning!

Hi guys,

I have submitted most of my vaccinations, but they obviously have to be spaced out. I will still be in the process of completing my last round of Hep B and titers by the time June 12th comes around. Will this hinder my acceptance? I have been emailing the tyrone, the guy in charge of immunizations, and there has been no response.

Because of everything going on with coronavirus, it has really put a delay on getting just my immunizations submitted. Just wondering if anyone knows what would happen if you're still in "process" of getting everything submitted.

Hey I think if you don’t have immunizations done it might hinder your acceptance. But I’m not 100% sure

You think so? I feel like if they see that I’m in process, and have one more left they should be understanding. I have been emailing HCC and no one has been responding.

I think a positive titer is required. Many miss out by being “in process”

Specializes in Nursing.

That said at the information session that they needed a positive titer and all the immunization done.
just upload everything you have. With this covid mess you never now they might be flexible...

I remember asking them a while back about this and she did say the immunizations we’re apart of determining if you get accepted but things are all changed around right now for different schools due to the covid. I say just upload what ever castle branch will take

I got immunizations done when I was little, I’m going to upload those and see if they take it

I think they need to be positive titers. Do you need a place to go to? Or what? What’s your delay let me see if I can help

Are you waiting for your last immunization and last blood work for them to test if it’s positive or negative? have you tried emailing ----------------- admissions or --------------------- to ask?

I got my hep b and MMR shot done on 04/22, this was the first round. My second round is on 05/22. I still have to wait 4 weeks after 05/22 to get a titer done. I emailed -------------------- asking if I can get both done at the same time next time, but no response. Everyone I have talked to has said I need to Initially wait 4 weeks after my shots to get a tired. So I will not be able to submit by June 12. But I was hoping that if I talk to them and they see I’m in process of getting it done, it would be okay.
