Anyone applying to Houston Community College for the fall? I signed up today for the HESI. I am scheduled to take it on 3/29. If I do well, they will place me into the summer pharmacology course. I am a little nervous. I would love to hear from any students that are in the program. Any tips on the HESI & the Pharm. class would be helpful! The thought of it... ahhh it boggles my mind! LOL
Thanks!
A fellow student e-mailed me this link. They're a bit pricey, but they look semi-decent and I think they would probably fall into the "white, leather, non-tennis shoe" category. The women's and men's look identical.

Ms. Wooten let me know that Crocs are not acceptable, but, in other news, I found the perfect male nursing shoe! They are only $60 and (somewhat) fashionable! They are also a little more masculine than the Danskos (and cheaper too).
In other, other news, my personalized stethoscope and sphygmomanometer engraved with my name will be arriving via UPS on Monday!

Anyone has to be better than Ms. Rich. Now if they could just organize Ms. Clark...Hcc might not be half bad. This over acceptance and last minute email acceptance is over the top. I had a friend who was crazy enough to go to HCC pharm and she got shafted because she never received her email for acceptance. So she was accepted missed orientation and told they dumped her seat and she would have to try again for spring. I am so glad i switched outta there even if it takes me longer to complete I would have been crushed like she is.

Well no program is perfect each one has it's own set of problems:( HCC really could be more organized but their program does accept more students so the more students accepted the more problems. Personally if I were your friend I would have stayed on them, I would have sent e-mails, visited the office, and called. It's unfortunate that she was shafted like that but personally I would have stayed on them. There has never been a time that I emailed Mary Clark and didn't get a response. I can at least give credit for that because trust me throughout the process I've had many questions!!! So good luck to you in your program and tell your friend don't give up!!!!
