HCC ADN Fall 2008 Applicants

Anyone applying to Houston Community College for the fall? I signed up today for the HESI. I am scheduled to take it on 3/29. If I do well, they will place me into the summer pharmacology course. I am a little nervous. I would love to hear from any students that are in the program. Any tips on the HESI & the Pharm. class would be helpful! :bugeyes: The thought of it... ahhh it boggles my mind! LOL

Jason, I am in the sameboat but, I do get in district tuition.Do you plan on working during the program? I am looking at a loan from Chase amd the HELP loan from the state. HCC is saying I cant get Stafford loans.

I also heard they are wearing white tops and black pants. My body isnt made or all white or snaps in the front. I will look like a half gallon of milk, blah.

The uniforms aren't that bad they actually look pretty good that's just my opinion!:rolleyes:

Jason: I know! I can't wait!!! they will most likely wait for the online class to also finish up as well. Who knows how they are doing it.

Adrian: You will be fine just practice.. its all very easy actually. I just got stomped once I recieved the exam. It all looked greek to me lol!! I think I was just freaking out bc we had both tests on the same day. I am so glad its over. I will be paying whatever I can out of pocket... and the rest loans if I HAVE TO. Our goal is to not take out any loans though (my and my hubby). I tried to get financial aid and I was denied. So whatever...

I will not be working during the program and I want to get into the day program.

What about the rest of you???

Does anyone know if the preq that are required cuz they are over 5 years necessary. I have developmental that I took over 5 years ago....but I have completed everything else. Is there away that I could still be accepted this fall.

Maybe I can help you but I don't understand your question are you asking what are the prerequisites?

I took Psyc 2314 over 5 years ago and I'm completing Pharm...right now. Isn't Psyc 2314 one of the classes highly recommended?? I'm hoping to get in Fall 08. Does this make sense?

Okay now I understand what your asking I do believe that the only courses that have a five year limit are the science classes I could be wrong though I would call the ADN office and ask but I think it is the sciences that have a limit!:rolleyes:

I got a 100 on the math!!!! In the class...think I have a low B.....didn't do to hot on the first test.

I'm also take Microbiology over cuz it was over 5 years old.
