Congrats to both of you!! I am in the interview process as we speak. I spoke with the nurse recruiter on Tuesday and that went really well. We scheduled an in person interview on Monday with a board of 3 people. I'm a little nervous about interviewing in front of 3 people, but I'm really trying to prepare as best I can. I'm going over behavioral interview items, but any other advice would be greatly appreciated. How soon did you hear back after the in person interview?
I forgot to mention that it is at a hospital on the west coast, not one by you guys.
Thanks! Thats awesome!! I went into the interview very positive and being my normal bubbly self :). I wore a suit, low heeled closed shoes, hair pulled back in a bun, nails short w/ clear nail polish, and very light make up. The nurse manager asked me alot of open ended questions..the typical why nursing question, what I did in my clinical rotations, how I started my day ect. My advice is to be confident when answering the questions, give examples of past experiences and how you overcame them, do your research on the organization (know their mission statement and values..they love this), oh and ask questions..If I remember anything else, i'll let you know. I heard back in less than a week. Good luck!!! :)
Well, I had my interview today and although I feel I did good; I found this to be my most difficult interview yet. I didn't get open ended questions. I was asked about 20 different behavioral based questions. They were looking for a problem and how I handed it. They want you to base these questions of off your clinical experiences. I should know by the end of this week if I got accepted. Keeping my fingers crossed.
