Hello! I couldnt find an HBU forum for Spring 2019.
I am in the process of applying and just took my HESI and these were my scores:
Grammar 90
Reading 84
Math 88
I was originally planning to apply for Fall 2019, but since i passed my HESI i figured I could apply. I am re-taking AP2 this fall since I got a C the first time. So i have a low opportunity of getting accepted, I believe.
Did y'all check your emails? I got an acceptance email from UTH today!
I received an email and status says that I've been admitted. I'm just confused about what we should do next as far as immunizations, background check and certifications go. I held back on accepting right away because I'm trying to decide where to go but we only have 10 days to make up our minds. Have you decided? Also Congratulations on your acceptance.

Congrats to you, too! I'm not fully decided yet. For a while, I was thinking HBU was best for me, but then I talked to some UTH people and feel better about my concerns with UTH now. With UTH, I'd save a ton of money and finish sooner. So currently, I'm leaning back towards UTH lol. I feel bad though, bc I think I need to notify HBU asap if I do end up going with UTH. Which school are you leaning towards?
I have already gotten my BLS/CPR certification, and I went to go do my fingerprints already (I went ahead and scheduled with Identogo since they had emailed me for HBU). I haven't done immunizations or drug tests yet though. Not sure about where to go for these; want the least costly option haha.

Hi! Just curious as to which school you're leaning towards since we are in the same boat lol. Have you decided yet?

I have actually been thinking about it all day. I think I'll go with UTH. It'll be cheaper and we would graduate almost a half year sooner. I also like the fact that the last semester is strictly clinicals. Now I just have to figure out how to let HBU know. I might send an email i don't know yet. I'll call UTH tomorrow just to make sure everything is ok as far as prerequisites go. Last thing I want to do is let HBU know that I won't attend their school just to find out that I'm missing a class for UTH. How about you?

Reading your comment, I kept thinking it was like you're reading my mind lol. I'm pretty sure I'm going with UTH for similar reasons. I spoke to some UTH students that made me less worried about the program, and driving around the Med Center today, I felt like it would be doable.
I also don't know how I'm going to tell HBU. Dreading it...
Tomorrow I'm going to try out a park and ride bus to see how it is as a commute option.

I could be wrong about the schedule, but I searched the course catalog for Spring 2019. It's not open for registration yet, but you can see the classes offered and the days/times. I realized I hadn't factored the lab times into the schedule, so it's still a lot of hours of class, but it will still fit my kids' needs better than UTH I'm thinking.
