Hello! I couldnt find an HBU forum for Spring 2019.
I am in the process of applying and just took my HESI and these were my scores:
Grammar 90
Reading 84
Math 88
I was originally planning to apply for Fall 2019, but since i passed my HESI i figured I could apply. I am re-taking AP2 this fall since I got a C the first time. So i have a low opportunity of getting accepted, I believe.
I delivered my acceptance letter in person since I live around the area and I asked the lady about creating a castle branch account, immunizations, ext, and she said just to wait until Orientation and they'll cover everything we need to know thenI also can not figure out castle branch. Do we just make an account? Should we just wait until orientation? It's a lot to get done in such what feels like a short amount of time. Before you know it January will be here.
I turned in my acceptance letter in today. I know its not due until the 8th of October but I don't see UTH giving us an answer before then, and to be honest my goal is to be the best nurse I can possibly be regardless of what school I attend. i know people say nursing school is hard and stressful but i think that the process before being accepted is just as nerve recking lol. i hope everyone here is doing better than i am. Sometimes I can be over dramatic lol. Has anyone crated a Castle Branch account? Is anyone missing their immunization records because I can't seem to find mine. I wonder if I would have to get the vaccines all over again?
I totally agree! I am sending mine tomorrow. We will be great nurses. Now we just have to get passed the first semester. I overthink stuff and I start getting stressed out. So I hope the transition comes smooth.
I haven't started an account yet but I will soon. I work for an urgent care so I hope I can do all my stuff through them. Does anyone know about the drug test? Are they sending us to do one or do we do it on our own. If anyone want to create a group message to keep up with each other, or help out and discuss the next few steps after accepting. feel free to text me to 2819014941 name is Alma.

I was still waiting on UTH, but I think after considering a lot of factors and family situation, I'm now thinking HBU is the best fit for me regardless. I put all of next semester's classes for HBU on a schedule so I can see the times and commute times, and I think my quality of life will be much better with HBU. I'm a single mom, so I don't have any help with my two young kids, and getting to the med center at 7am for test days for UTH and 8am every other day would be really stressful. Getting there barely on time would depend on so many factors. I remember for info session for UTH I arrived 40 minutes early, but after entering the parking garage, it took me 30 min to fight for a parking spot, and I barely made it on time. HBU would give me more time with my kids bc it's closer and less traffic (less parking issues), so I'm prob 85% set on HBU now.
So, I'm thinking maybe I should go ahead and set up a Castle Branch account. Has anyone else done this? Have y'all done immunizations? I already did my BLS/CPR certification, but haven't done the health or criminal checks or drug tests.

Same here, I think I might go with HBU too because it's less hassle for me. I'm waiting on orientation so I haven't done anything yet but I think I should. How were you able to see the classes and times for next semester? I tried searching for some type of schedule but I've had no luck. Also family is important and it's something we should all consider when we make a decision.
