Anyone ever left a tourniquet on a patient after starting an IV? If so what happened?
And another thing... despite TV shoes etc showing u as if doctors know everything most of them don't even know how to start an IV. And I don't blame them for that. That is what nurses and aids are for but there is no place for them to criticize you when they themselves can not only perform that type of procedure but on top of that they typically don't understand the mechanics of the issue like nurses do. Like if she knew u were making a mistake on her son then why the *** didn't she stop you? Cause she could've. She didn't remember it was a mistake until you did it. Remember that hon

I agree. Unfortunately this is yet another zombie post back from the dead because someone had something to say about a topic discussed almost a decade ago

Okay I saw the person who said there was no excuse and that's *** ***. I'm typically myself very attentive but when someone is constantly criticizing me or making me doubt myself..... I'll make these mistakes and I have. I know doctor's despite being a nurse, and the ones who aren't complete *** know to leave the room when the nurse is interviewing or drawing blood from a patient. And the reason I know doctors is because my dad is one and it is also unethical (extremely so) to be having a nurse or any type of aid performing any type of procedure on a family member.
in fact I know my dad is typically old school but he'd never view that as acceptable. *** happens. Don't beat urself up especially because of a *** *** doctor who thinks she has power because she's a woman doctor. Clearly has some kind of God complex and something to prove in her mind if she's *** watching your every move
