So....after my first nursing job interview, I was offered the position on the spot. Just had an interview today for which I was flown out by the hospital (after an over the phone interview with the senior recruiter and department hiring manager). I had another interview today with hiring manager and hospital tour and was told that I would be contacted within the next 2 days....has this ever happened to you, and if so, what was the outcome? I am kinda nervous...

Nervous about which? You've got 3 hospitals fighting over you. No, that's never happened to me.
Let me clarify that. I guess my post sounds confusing. The first offer that I got on the spot is the job I am on now and I have been here for a couple of years. There is only 1 other hospital involved, and this is the one that I have had 2 over the phone interviews with as well as the onsite interview and hospital tour. I wish I did have 3 places fighting over me, lol. That would be nice.
I dunno. For a single position, I've had multiple interviews with multiple people, a personal tour of the unit, did 3 hours of on the job shadowing, and still not get the job.

The more interviews you have the more they want you. It is like you keep making the cut for the next step and it is a good sign. I think you will have an offer soon!

may i also ask this; does it mean that you be certainly hired when you apply out of state, do a fon
interview and HR ask you to fly and come meet the unit manager? I am in this situation now. thanks for your contributions.
