O.k, I found out that the local comm. college won't take online A&P courses since I can't take an accompanying lab. So I looked into other prerequisites, and I'd like to look for an online statistics course. Does anyone have any that they can recommend? Thanks in advance.

I took my statistics course online and it was great. I don't know if you are looking for another school but the school I took it at is www.cuonline.edu they have a list of courses that they do online and Intro to Statistics should be one. Also, I know a lot of community colleges do that course online too.

I took it online thru my community college (Portland Community College), but I had to go to campus twice - once to take the midterm, once to take the final. Check out all of the community colleges in your area and see if one of them offers it.

i took an online stats course last semester and HATED it! i am no math-guru, but I am no dummy, either - usually an "A" student. But my school used this
really lame compnay called ALEKS which does not explain things well or teach things in order- instead you fill in a "pie" chart of topics and are tested randomly when it decides to test you (and of course, the teacher doesn't have to do anything...). Also they cahrege $100 for a "user's guide" (there is no text) that just tells you how to run the program on your computer - and you HAVE to buy that in order to get a registration code.
I was really disappointed w/ my grade (i got an 82, which the professor considered a "C" because he thought that online courses are "easier" - not!)
Also, I really don't feel I learned anything - just how to plug #s into formulas and call the IT support when my computer kept crashing...
I am sure there are good courses out there, but I definitely don't recommend any that use ALEKS - it sucks bigtime!
