I am almost finished with my LVN schooling, and upon liscensure (crosses fingers) I plan to apply to my local community college for the Lvn bridge to RN. I was wondering if any of you have taken the lvn clinical/written exam to enter? If so, what is it like and what procedures did you do? Is it a room full of models where you had to show the proper aseptic technique to insert a foley catheter and the like? Any replies are appreciated

Hi,
I think they are all different. I'd check with your school. Mine wasn't too bad mostly basic skills like head to toe assessment, nursing care plan etc. Good luck and congratulations. Jules

Ok I am still learning what some of these initials stand for.
I have never heard of an LVN. Please tell me what those letters stand for. Licensed ? Nurse..

Hi Sabby!
Licensed Vocational Nurse.
I reveived tis title after completing my schooling at a community college, not a vocational school. That was in Texas. Up North here, I usually almost always hear or see LPN. Licensed Practical Nurse.
Maybe a regional or state choice? Don't know!
Hope your weekend off was a good one!:balloons:
