Not sure where to post this! But if you have any advice for me on Excelsiors A&P test please let me know. Any advice will help. I have two weeks to prepare for this test and am scared to death. :smackingf

I took it several months ago, and it was a tough exam. It is about 60 percent physiology and only about 40 percent anatomy. Not very much on identifying bones and structures, but LOTS of emphasis on hormones, regulatory processes, etc. In short, it sort of presupposes that you know the Where of everything. The exam tests your understanding of the Why.

Good response from rigmedic. I moved the thread to the Distance Learning Forum so that you continue to get good advice. You'll find a ton of EC-related information in this forum. Good luck!

I took it in May, and I totally agree with Rigmedic! Definitely check your knowledge against the Excelsior A&P content guide, and I also recommend the EC practice tests. Good luck!

I took A&P test last Wednesday (9/12/07). I would suggest that you concentrate on the Excelsior A&P tests, especially noting rationales. Taking the tests in Barron's A&P Made Easy and similar-type books helped me. Also, the YAHOO Excelsior study groups has some excellent outlines, etc. in their files.
I wish you much success. What have you been studying so far and for how long?

I took the test about a month ago, and it seemed to be heavy on, Kidney (function and hormones). Search for other post of mine, and you can see what else I posted about the test. Remember, there is more than one test.

I just got home from taking the EC A&P. Definitely know your physiology. EC practice exams are a must and really read through the rationales. I spent about 7 weeks studying (usually 1-2 days per week) and then spent the last 10 days focusing on the practice exams and reviewing the text on stuff I was rusty on. Tough test....but I pulled in an A!!
Good Luck!!
P.S. - On the front cover of the EC content guide I had downloaded, it states that guide is good for testing until Sept 30, 2007. Then it is being revised. FYI.
Thanks for all the advice and support to everyone who took the time to reply to this thread, I passed the A&P test today.
