Has anyone heard from Columbia University?

Someone told me that acceptance e-mails were suppose to be sent out this past Friday. I did not get anything so I thought that I did not get in.

Well that makes me feel a little better! When I received the follow up email I thought we would be told either way? When did you interview?

Really? I got an email Friday. It said we would find out this week ("after Monday because we're closed for MLK day").

Nothing in your SPAM boxes?

I had interviewed early dec and in my follow up thank you letter they said we would be notified mid-jan. Also at the end of my interview i was told we would be notified jan 16 or 17. I am so glad to hear that i am very anxious--i only applied to columbia

The emails went out early this morning. If there's nothing in your inbox, don't fret, it was only a link to that web-page where you built your application. That's where the letter of acceptance/rejection is. So log-in and check it out!

I still haven't gotten my letter either so I emailed them today. She said "All decisions have been made and uploaded for email distribution this week. Please check your email daily for notification." I guess I'm just getting antsy especially since the director said we would hear something on the 16th.

Do you mind me asking your stats that got you accepted to Columbia. It's one of the schools I'm interested in.

Let's see, 1300's on the GRE. 3.58 GPA. -A to A in sciences (nursing & pre-med) & math (except for Calc 2 & Mechanical Physics 1 & 2, those were always B+'s... T_T).

For the nursing classes, the 4 major classes I always had B+'s, the minor classes (intro, pharm, ethics, etc) were A's.

For experience, I've got 2 years of all around adult CCU (Cardiac, Resp, Neuro, GI, GU) & I'm starting my second year of adult CTICU.

In terms of the application, put a lot of thought into your personal statement. They do read it carefully.

And all I'm going to say about the interview is look professional and don't panic.

Unless they've only given out acceptance letters. That is possible.

Cindy- Did you have to reply and accept? Did you have a cut off date to accept? When did you interview? thanks!
