Just wondering if anyone has heard from Columbia--I know we should be hearing soon--thought I would hear Friday??

Hi everyone. It's already Wednesday and my stress level is already high. For those who are on the waitlist, has anyone heard anything from Columbia?

Congrats you guys! ^__^

Have you heard anything else from Columbia since your acceptance?

Fear not. That's par for the course. I'm a student there, and that's how it was when I got in, too. If the waiting wasn't bad enough for the acceptance, they make you wait more now. Maybe it's a mind game. On the other hand, all of the administrators (PD, APD, etc.) are course instructors. So they're busy making up exams for us, the lucky students. It's not like there's an admission team that ONLY does admission stuff. So I'm pretty sure it's not a conspiracy, although I also DO think they like to see you sweat. Not just now, but ALWAYS. But I DO know that you shouldn't nag them - they'll label you an "annoyance" for the next three years. And you do NOT want that. So smile, if you're in. Grin if you're not, and reapply next year. They do value persistence. And if you're in, just be patient, work as much OT as you can right now. You'll need that money to buy Falafel sandwiches from the vendor in front of the Hammer building when you're up late studying in the Riverview Lounge late night. Sure, that doesn't mean much to you now, but print this out, mark my word, and email me in a year, when it does. :-)

Hey does that apply to financial aid too? they told me 2 weeks after acceptance my FA letter would come.

Hey pasero- did you get your financial aid letter already? Do you have to call the FA office to apply or they automatically send you an FA letter once you are accepted? haven't received mine yet.

I got mine the beginning of last week.
