Has anyone heard from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing for Fall of 2009?

I talked to yesterday and she said we should be hearing back within 4-6 weeks! Are you applying anywhere else?

Wow thats far away, thanks for the update.. I really thought we should be hearing back soon, but that was just based on last years forum. I also applied to NCC, how about you?

I haven't applied anywhere else but I'm thinking about St. Vincents. I know that they accept applications untill August. Honestly, I have no idea what to expect with BHSN.

Yeah, I was def going to apply to St.V's but I Just recently heard that unless you take anatomy 1,2 and chem there, supposedly they make you take a test and its very hard to pass it.. and if you dont pass it then you have to RETAKE THEM THERE! which I took chem 5+ years ago and even though im currently taking anatomy 2, i def dont think i would pass a random test like that honestly.. i suck at test taking, so i dont even want to go to through all the trouble of applying.. POSSIBLY getting in.. and then them telling me i have to take this test.. u know.. but im not positive on it, i guess ill wait back to see what BHSON and NCC and if I do not get into either I may try it.. It's def a good program, but I'm not down with taking a test for classes I've already taken and done well in..

Oh wow!! I didn't know about that test. I will probably just wait on BHSN also and see how it goes. I think the chances at NCC are good though, I'm sure you will get in there.

I'm not positive about the test tho, i think its one of those things they dont want to "advertise" ... NCC is actually alot harder to get in than Bridgeport, from what I hear.. But my fingers are crossed so we will see.. Good luck!! I still cant believe 4-6 weeks!! Ugh!!

6 weeks, thats terrible I thought I was the last to know. Can I ask you guys what your teas was, i could have done better and wound up only with an 81, i dont think im getting in but hoping, cuz ill have to wait to apply to the other schools until next year. i am not applying to st. v's for just those reasons. sounds like we are in the same boat.

Hello there, I actually received my letter of acceptance yesterday as well.. congrautlations wonnabenurse....for once I actually didnt check the mailbox since they said it would be 4-6 weeks but my mom called and said that i received a letter so she read it to me and yay i got in..and jbnursemaybe, honestly my ati scores were only a 75.. i took it last minute and i only took it once, so i did poorly.. however, i think the fact that i have a bachelor already and i already finished ap 1&2 most likely helped.. but an 81 is not bad, so i wouldnt stress about it... good luck and let me know the outcome..(did you apply anywhere else?)
