just wondering if anyone knows or has gone through the Galen collge Lvn to Rn program, i'm in San Antonio, how was your expirence and where are you working now?

Hi your question might be better answered in the Texas forum. So if you don't get many answers, we can move it or you can post there again.
I had a friend go to Galen here in St. Petersburg and passed boards. He stayed at the LTC he worked at, but changed roles and got a nice raise. Galen student have just started precepting at our facility and most haven't had any bad things to say. Of course, as I said this is not where you're located. :)

Hi, I graduated from the Galen program in KY. I liked it. Some of my classmates didn't, but that happens in any school. Most were expecting to learn something entirely different than what they learned in LPN school only to find out that you are actually learning how to think as an RN. Critical Thinking that is. I'll assume that the TX program is the same as the KY one with the exception that you will learn based on the scope of practice fot TX.
