I am so upset. I have a 83.3 average and have been doing so well on the test but I failed my first test tonight by a 1/2 a point. I am still a 80 average but I feel like junk. I am a 1st semester student and I have to admit I changed alot of my answers. I feel like if I fail now...how will I ever make it further!

I am really upset. First time I cried over a test.

We had to have a 78% for all test and quizzes to pass. I failed one test with a 75% and a quiz with a 60%. I got to retake the 60% and got a 95% but the way the school worked is still only a 78% went in the book. My 1st fail(test) was in level one and my last fail(quiz) was in level 5

Pick your self up and know you can do this. Take it one test at a time and try not to stress over the last test, its over and you can't change it ( I know easier said than done). Put all strenght and effor into the next.

Usually Nursing one is sometimes hard on students that do not have a medical background of any kind. Even thought the content will get harder as you go (next level or next classes), you will have the basis and knowledge from this class and it maybe easier.

Good luck!!!!!

Hey Silly32girl, the first thing I can say to you is don't change your answers. Go with your instinct. I did a lot of answer changing on my first test, and it doesn't feel good when you get that answer wrong. I just failed 4 semester by 7 points, due to the fact that I only went to my clinical 3 times. I'm a visual learner so that didn't help when your answering ICU questions when you only went to ICU once!!!!Well, all I can say is your doing awesome...you have a B still, just do your best next time and you are going get an A. Take deep breathes..Good luck...

Hey Silly3girl, the book that helped pass 1st semester is Fundamentals study guide. This book ask you questions that pertains to what you are studying and even gives you rationales of why that is the answer. Trust me this book saved me....

Don't let this get you down! I am in my 4th semester and I failed my one and only test 2nd semester with a 68. I worried and was very upset, but my Advisor told me to let it go...it happened, it was over. Dwelling on it will only harm you on the next test. I took her advice and I have never failed one since.

Also - Don't change those answers!!! Go with your gut! That is the best advice I can give you. If you've studied and you know your content, there is probably a reason you went for that answer.

Good luck and hang in there!! :)

I completely agree!!! Go with your gut!! It took me a semester to convince myself that I needed to do that.

I got a test back and it was much lower than expected. I talked to the teacher and she even noticed that I changed some of my answers from the correct one to a wrong answer. I was SOOOO mad at myself. During my end-of-semester review I had to identify areas I needed to improve. I definitely needed to get better and trusting my instincts.

Try not to worry. Easier said than done but you probably won't do it again. Keep your chin up and keep your eye on the prize!!!
