Gotten all of their supplies, thumbed through the books, and thought " what the heck did I get myself into?!". Lol. I feel like I've dreamed about starting nursing school for so long, and now that im 5 days away from starting I'm kind of freaking out. Haha.

Me too! GOD WILL SEE US THROUGH!!!

I have so much anxiety about starting its crazy! I keep thinking can I do it, am I smart enough, what about my kids? Will they be okay? Will I pass my clinicals etc etc. Its nerve racking but I try to have faith that God will see me through and if its meant to be it will be!

I felt the same way all throughout nursing school.. even up until the very last day I wanted to quit . ...lol.. but you can totally do this. It is a lot of work, but well worth having a rewarding career one day.

Yes, and also had the same thought basically every other week or so throughout the gauntlet. All I can say is even when you don't believe it will be, it's SO worth it in the end. If I did it, you all can! Don't let it overwhelm you. You'll get a ton of info all at once, especially in the beginning, but with time it alllll begins to click. You'll be signing "RN" before you know it :)

Wow that's exactly how I feel I start on the 20th.. When I get those doubtful feelings I remember god got this nd this was always his plans..

I know the feeling exactly I've wanted this for so long and sat down with all my books and flipped through some pages and wanted to cry thought of " wow can I do this ,, this looks so hard ,, how the heck am I going to handle kids work and school" after reading everyone's post I'm glad I'm not the only one freaking out I'm just so scared to fail I don't start until the 27..

I am actually excited and afraid too! Got my books and all my supplies! I can't wait to begin! I have worked so hard just to get in. I took pre-reqs for a year, and I know some people have to wait longer than that so I am grateful I didnt have to.... I cant wait to start. Super excited :w00t:

I have the same fears....I pick my book bundle up on Monday and I can't wait, so excited. We have orientation on next Friday so I'm alternating between wanting to pass out with anxiety or being super excited :-)

Yeah. My pharmacology book alone is freaking me out. It's huge!

I got curious and weighed my biggest book. My med-surg book is HUGE, but I'm disappointed to report that it's only 12 pounds. I was thinking 20 for sure.

i was calm....TILL!!...i started the assigned reading and figured out that the pages they assigned us were not consistent with my book!!...really??...i double checked the ISBN # and the edition and it is the correct book....so i emailed the profs to see whats wrong.

i cant even find the sections. I did find one box that was in the readings....so at least know the readings are in there...someone told me that perhaps they didnt update the correct pages for the new edition???...but i really dont need the stress so soon!!!
