I have applied to dozens of jobs, hospitals all over the county, LTC in my area ect.. Not one back so far.. I called the recruiter at one hospital and because I am starting the nursing program they said I could not do a full time position.. ughh I am starting to get a little discouraged

Try home care. One of my coworkers is in nursing school and another just finished and is waiting to take NCLEX. There is a lot of schedule flexibility in home care and you won't kill yourself taking care of a lot of residents per shift.
Good luck!

Along with home care, I hear a lot of positive things about the flexibility of an agency job, if you live near a large metro area, this may be your ticket.
Yea I think thats what I am going to have to do.. I was just so nervous about going to other people's homes. Thanks for the advice! :)

I worked in LTC for a few months then wanted some more hours so I signed on with a home health company...I loved it! One patient at a time (instead of 20) and you feel like you have the time to really take good care of them.
I was nervous doing something new at first but for orientation I went with another CNA to a couple clients' houses and realized I could totally do it.
