happy new year to everyone!
well, our new year was brought in with a bang (bad guys decided to throw some mortars at us here in baghdad) and we are on lock-down until the all clear.....

It's called OPSEC - Operations Security. Their "typing off at the mouth" is what's going to force DoD to ban military members from using Facebook and Twitter - and yes, they can do that; they could make participating in Facebook and "online networking sites" a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and court-martial people stupid enough to violate it. It's an ongoing problem in the military and it gets worse every day.IMO, anyone caught broadcasting such information anywhere on the Web should be nailed for it. Really. I sound like an alarmist, but terrorist groups read those blogs too and get tons of intel on us. You'd be amazed at what you can piece together by assembling bits of info from various sources.I'll shut up now. :)
