The 'steps' in handwashing? Google it. Quit asking these questions.

LOL, Funny question. Being a first semester student, we are going through various checkoffs and were told that the hardest checkoff would be hand washing. It was. The Head-toe assessments, bed-bath..... a breeze. But hand washing.... the "proper way".... now that was tough! :D

Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

Are you a CNA student? Perhaps it would be more beneficial to read about it in your textbook, rather than have the information spoon-fed to you? I'll bet you'll learn more if you look up the information yourself.

Specializes in psych, addictions, hospice, education.

Specializes in Critical Care.

I watched a CNA training video on how to do proper hand washing. I'm not a CNA yet, but as a volunteer I try to always do proper hand washing. Interestingly, I had my hands analyzed for germs under black light (long story lol) after washing my hands using the CNA technique and I was told I had the lowest level of germs out of everyone thus far. So it does work! Go to youtube for good videos on it.
