ok all,
i have had with the state of ga and ec. i have offically decided to just stay with being a lpn.
right now i have this wondeful job where i am a private duty nurse for a 6 week old infant, working mon-fri 8am-5pm. i am almost stress free, no one to look over my shoulders, no crappy co-workers with nasty attitudes.
no nights, no weekend and more time with my family. i am making way more money than any where else i was working at in my neck of the woods. of course money isn't everything!
the deciding factor was when i went for my cardiology check up and was told i have to slow down or else. my lad and rpda have shown to have an increase from 60% to 70% and 45% to 60% in blockage. when asked if i was under any type stress, i had to confess i was under way too much.
having 2 open heart surgeries in the past 9 years hasn't been fun and i do not want any more of those!!!
the stress levels of the gbn not accepting ec( any longer till further notice) worry about exams, etc, etc, is taking a toll on me.
i have come to realize that my health, being here for my 10 yo daughter and husband are extremely important for me. becoming an rn is not worth losing those any of them!
thanks to all of the wonderful "friends" on this forum who have been an inspiration and who continue to be for others.
i will still " lurk" around here !
thanks guys and gals!
