H1b Visa for nurses under FY 2010

That's what am trying to do now Silverdragon. They all live in Sacramento. But I am willing to be anywhere in California so as it is easier for me to come and visit them vice versa. I hope I could find one though. I don't know whether or not I could stay more longer on my present job. Pls. anybody who could share with me their employers I would really appreciate it. Unless you have experience with the current work situation currently in many US states with new grads struggling to find work I think you will find it hard to find a employer for H1b who can justify not employing a USC or someone already in the US with a work visa or Green Card

Hi All,

I am a BSN and I got a job offer from US. The agency told me to take the state license(pass NCLEX-RN) exam then they will file for my H1 B visa.

1. Is it easy to get H1 visa for a nurse in US? I have 5 years of experiance in Nursing career. I got 1st Rank(top in the university) for my BSN in my University. I am from India.

2. Is it easy to get a job for RN through agency in tri-state? They said they will try in NY, NJ or CT.

3. I want to go for MSN. Is it possible to study for MSN in H1 visa.

4.I am coming with my family and can my husband can work?

Any help on this issue is appreciated.

If you are coming on H1b then no your husband can not work on a H4 he will have to get a work visa of his own.

The agency needs to prove that they can not employ a USC or someone already in the US with PR so you may have issues however you are not loosing anything by trying

Regardless on state you will need to meet their requirements before they will issue a license and NY have their own procedure with CGFNS which takes on average 6-8 months although a lot will depend on how quickly CGFNS write for your paperwork and how quickly the paperwork is returned

hi smv939 you can study MSN here in student visa. You can work here in H1b visa but your hus cannot work he will be in H4 visa [not permitted to work] Can you please say which agency it is? kindly name me the agency?

interested again. How about taking MSN under student visa, how much is the tuition fee and what shool is the

least expensive , my NY license is still active.

I was told that

1. I need to send Form1 to NY Licencing Agency.

2. I need to submit NY Credential Vefication form to CGFNS.

3. Then I can take RN exam.

Should I get a letter from NY Agency to take the RN exam?Am I missing anything?

Can I send the applications directly? If possible can anyone send me the forms or web link for the forms?

I don't trust the agency representative very well.I don't want to lose money.

NY requires CVS done by CGFNS and this process takes approx 6 months although a lot will depend on how quickly they write for your documents and how quickly they are returned. Then everything is sent to NY BON from CGFNS and they will then make a decision based on what they receive. They will then inform you to arrange to sit NCLEX. Look at a time frame of approx 6-8 months to receive eligibility.

CVS requires CGFNS to do all the work, you can not send anything to them as they will not accept it

I am a newbee here, i hope you can shed light on my situation. Currently, my H1b application(LCA) is on 10 days posting, I am a direct hire and i will be working in a care home facility. I am a psychiatric nurse and presently here in kSA, i do not have nclex or ielts. I just submitted my transcript, diploma and employment certificate and they processed it for assessment, we have a lawyer who are taking care of the application. I am curious if i will be granted a visa considering this scenario.

I'm sorry to say, but without NCLEX-RN (so meaning no US RN license) and without an Engish exam (for VSC, immigration purposes), I doubt that your application will be approved.
