H1B visa clarification

I am a Registered Nurse with Bachelor's degree from India. I have cleared CGFNS, IELTS & NCLEX-RN and my husband & myself have filed for Green Card with a U.S agency in 2007. Our agency told us our DS-230 form is yet to be submitted to NVC because only I have got the Visa Number. At present my agency has given my resume to another U.S company to issue H1B visa for me. They are telling us that I will have a contract for 3 years with the new company. Sir, we are having some clarification regarding this H1B visa & new contract. It is as follows.

• If I come to U.S in H1B visa whether it is possible to work also in other hospitals while working with the hospital which sponsored me.
  

• As we have already applied for Green Card, so if we come in H1B visa now is there any chance for getting Green Card when retrogression is lifted?
  

• Our agent told once in 2 years they will renew the Visa for us whether it is possible.
  

• Can a spouse get driving license when I am on H1B Visa.

• as we have already applied for green card, so if we come in h1b visa now is there any chance for getting green card when retrogression is lifted?your gc application will still be ongoing as long as you maintain your application with the agency. you can get a gc if your pd is current but if your pd isn't and your h1b is revoked or expires then you will have to leave the us
  

• our agent told once in 2 years they will renew the visa for us whether it is possible. no telling what will happen in 2 years but expect retrogression to still be around.
  

• can a spouse get driving license when i am on h1b visa. i belive that will depend on the state. a spouse will not be able to work unless they get a h1b of their own

with retrogression you are looking at a lot longer than 2 years currently especially for india. ds230 will not be required until your pd is being processed and currently with india looking at 8+ years

H1B visa does not need renewal in 2 years, but in 3 years. You could maintain that status for 6 years total. If PD is still not current, you'll have to either leave the US or find another way to stay until it is.
