GWU Accelerated BSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread about GW's application process for Fall 2018. The deadline is Oct. 15th and was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to get a response. I unfortunately, haven't finished all my pre reqs but will have all of them done by the end of spring semester. I am currently taking micro and dev. psych. Taking stats in the spring. I'm just nervous about not having them all completed. I do have a 4.0 in the ones that are done. Anyone else in the same boat?

Hi everyone!

I got in as well.

@ ncordoba08 Hey, Nicole! My name is Vinita. I'm registered to attend the 6/1 Admitted Student Day, but I hope you had fun at the one this weekend! Looking forward to meeting you in the fall. Also, welcome to the northern VA area!! I love Miami myself, but am from the NOVA area, and it has a piece of my heart, too. :)

Im looking at apartments in Herdon and Reston .

Awesome areas to live. Hope you have found a place or two you like!

Hi Everyone!

Any thoughts on the Washington Squared program?

Hi Everyone!

Any thoughts on the Washington Squared program?

Hi! I'm applying for the program since it's a really big help towards tuition costs and I already live in the DC area, so I was planning on staying here after graduation. I think that's what is stopping some people from applying because they don't want to be tied to the area after graduation for 3 years.

Hi there!

Yes, I agree with your 3 years statement as anything can happen within those 3 years. Thank you for responding!

Hey all, I've been admitted to the fall 2018 cohort and I'm excited to meet my classmates! I had a basic question for everybody...I see that the program is 15 months and 4 semesters. Does that mean we're doing a summer semester and should expect to have our degree by Dec 2019?

Hey! Yes, it's 15 months straight through so we will be done by next December. We get like one week off in between our semesters and a bit more for Christmas

Hi,

I live in herndon/reston, let me know if you need help with anything.

Hello everyone,

I need some help with guidance on how to best pay for ABSN as we cannot work while enrolled in this program. Thank you.

honestly, right now I am applying for scholarships and then will eventually just get loans to cover the rest. Unless you get into the Washington squared program, there really isn't a great way to cover tuition. It is only 15 months, so you can start repaying it pretty quickly

Hello everyone! Is anyone working through Castle Branch at this time? I'm unable to figure out what to do for the HIPAA and OSHA requirements. Can anyone tell me (1) where to find the OSHA quiz, and (2) if we just need to hand-fill-in the HIPAA attachment? I tried the chat feature in The CB help section, but had no luck. Thanks in advance!
