GWU ABSN Fall 2015

Published

Hi Everyone!!!

I am about to apply to GWU's program! Does anyone know when we hear back by?

Hey guys,

I haven't heard anything back either and I had some problems with transcript verification as well. I've called once and they told me it's fine as long as it was verified before the deadline but I'm getting nervous because it seems like a good amount of people have gotten a response. Just wondering to those of you who have when you submitted your applications?

Thanks!

I can't remember the exact day that I submitted my application but on Feb 5 I received notification from NursingCAS that I had missing coursework because I did not realize that I actually had to input every class that I attended. I thought that I only had to put the prerequisites in. Anyway, I corrected it right away and received an email later that day that they verified all of my coursework and were going to calculate my GPA. On Feb 24, I received an email from GW that NursingCAS released my application for review and later that day I received another email stating that my application was being referred to the admissions committee. On March 13, I received the acceptance email. I hope this helps you!

Hi, I haven't heard back either. My preliminary review process did not begin until end of March....

I just got an email that my application is going to the admissions committee. I guess I'll hear back in a couple of weeks.

Well, I have decided to officially take myself out of the running for a spot! I just received an acceptance letter for Georgetown's CNL Program and since its a Master's program and the school is higher ranked (and I begrudgingly say that as a GW graduate), I would rather go there than GW. If I do end up getting accepted by GW I will quickly relinquish my spot so that someone on the waitlist can have a chance.

Good luck everyone!

Congratulations Pink Eagle best of luck!

GW also e-mailed me last friday telling me that my application had been sent to the review committee...so guess it's just a matter of waiting now

Hey guys! I was accepted into UMD which happens to be my 1st choice and the #1 CNL Program in the country (not to mentioned wayyyy more affordable!) so I'm going to forfeit my application to GW. I wish you all the very best of luck in the program and hopefully we might end up co-workers one day!

YAY finally! I got my acceptance and have an interview for the W^2 program. I am very excited!! Cannot wait to meet the incoming class:)

I wonder if I will have a chance at this time? I heard from GWU on 4/15 that they have received all of my information and that I'll be notified if the status of my application changes to final review.... Should I wait around two weeks until I make the call to inquire about the status of my application?

I'm really not sure what that means, this is what my letter said once they received my information:

"Thank you for your application to the George Washington University School of Nursing. NursingCAS has verified your application and has released it to GW for review. We will begin the preliminary review shortly and send you an update when your application is sent to the Admission Committee for final review."

I wonder if they have already admitted the max number of students and are waiting for responses or for people to forfeit their seats? I really don't know, I am merely just guessing. Perhaps you should call to get an idea of what exactly that means. I have had really good experiences with everyone there each time I have called. Best of luck to you!

I was accepted today! Anyone else?

I was waitlisted today, hoping for good news down the road. Does anybody have any idea as to how many people from the waitlist typically end up being accepted?
