Nursing Students Male Students
Published Aug 7, 2007
In the current institution that i am in, i've seen very few male nursing students. Some say they're just forced to by their mums; others go for the big salary...
the growing population of nurses today include mostly the females, as i see it.

That's not a bad idea blue.
I think there is going to be more of us guys in nursing the next few years. I read somewhere that this economic crisis has hit men disproportional with 85% of the layoffs being male. Where else besides nursing can you get into a relatively high paying field without advanced degrees and years of "paying your dues".
I also think we are going to see a lot more older guys because some of us we just don’t want to retire and job satisfaction seems to be the primary motivation for “The Last Career.” Myself, I want to work as long as I can and do something that matters.

the easiest way to answer your question is to ask why did you want to become a nurse. i'll bet most of the same reasons apply for women as well as men
