New to allnurses.com but, I just applied for Nursing School at GTCC and I am so anxious to find out what points are getting accepted! Just wondering how many have applied and what their point range was? That Tea's V was a butt Kicker for me! So anxious to get a letter!
Ugh! Today started out great...had lunch with my husband and mother, took my mother shopping, then got a call from my friend's child's school because they couldn't reach her or her husband. I am an emergency contact. Her son was tackled by a classmate and hit his head on concrete. He has a concussion, but that isn't the kicker. They did a CT in the ER and found he has a large lesion about 1/4 the size of his brain! It was out of the ER doctor's expertise, so they are being referred to a Neurosurgeon at Baptist. It looks as though it may be fluid filled, but they aren't sure yet. The boy is only 10 years old. If any of you are praying people...please pray for ETHAN. Thanks.

Okay everybody...here's the deal. You have to contact me at [email protected] if you want to set up a time to go over some pharmaceutical calculations. It is too difficult to get everyone together on the same schedule, but as I have said, my schedule is pretty flexible. So, if you seriously want to get a jump on it shoot me an e-mail.

Yes, all medical forms are due by June 2nd. You will need a flu shot, and I recommend the Meningococcal vaccine as well even though it is not required. Better to have it than not to when we are in the hospital doing our clinicals. Also be sure if you have not had your Hepatitis B series that you get that done (most everyone will have already gotten them for their CNA). Your PPD (Tuberculin Test) has to be done annually, so make sure it has not run out of date.
Other reminders:
Seat acceptance must be received by March 29th
Orientation is July 13th
First day of class is August 20th
Anyone that has any questions, feel free to ask. If I don't know the answer I will find out and get back to you.
