Thnks a lot for replying...I know I can't work, but after taking so much education back in India, it is difficult for me to be a housewife, hence I thought I can take the nursing degree..and even if I go back to my country back I can use my degree there to get a job. R u working as a nurse?
There is no reason not to look into schools in the US while you are here. I say go for it!
The pay scale won't matter because you cannot work on your VISA. nurses the US job market is very tight right now. Finding sponsorship will be highly unlikely. RNs in the city start around $30.00/hr
Do you know anything about nursing education in the US for nursing? What is your healthcare experience?

Hello everyone!
I am on a dependent visa(h4) from Illinois. As I am a healthcare professional from my native country India, I am willing to work in a healthcare field. I am preparing for getting a Accelerated BSN course now. I would appreciate any help or guidance related to the nursing field, as I am a mother now is it worth spending lots of time in doing the coursework? What are the work related experiences and pros and cons of nursing? What is the average pay scale in Chicago for nurses?
Thank you!
