Gtcc fall 2019

Published

Hello. I am applying to Gtcc fall 2019 nursing program. Can anyone already in the program or those who have completed it tell me what to expect? I have heard their program is harder than any other schools. Also anyone who is applying, how many points are you all applying with? Does anyone know what a good point score is since they have now changed the ranking points?

In 111 it was like 7:00AM for 6 hours, then 112 7-7.

Hi. I have everything needed for the GTCC ADN program but decided to go to a different school because I recently moved. Everything I need is different so I am selling two sets of scrubs (embroidered tops are medium, pants are small), a jacket (small), and shoes (7). I also have the book package that is everything you need for the entire program. Here's the cost of what I paid:

Tops (2) - $29.39 each

Pants (2) - $27.89 each

Jacket - $17.09

Shoes - $119

Books - $966

Including tax that's roughly $1300. I am willing to take $900 for everything. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Can anyone tell me if you can get all the vaccines done in one sitting? My doctor can’t see me until the 22nd of this month and I’m scared I won’t get my vaccines in.

You should be able to depending on what vaccines you need. A lot of them come in a combo, like 3 in 1. Is it not easier for you to just have titers drawn to check for immunity?

Yeah ima check with the doctor I was just worried I’m going in so late.

If you haven't already, call the health dept. They give them at a much cheaper rate if you have to pay out of pocket due to time limit. I agree with AJ about the titers. They are a bit more costly but its one lab draw and results within a few days. Depending on which vaccines you need, live vaccines are given together or they required a waiting period of at least 4 weeks between live vaccines. Take a look at cdc.gov and click on the Timing and Spacing of Immunos. I would definitely call your Dr office or health dept to ask specific questions regarding which shots you need and the timing. Hope this helps! Let me know what you find out ?

Ok will do thanks for the info!

Also any recommendations of where I can get a physical done for a cheaper rate as well?

What is so crazy about physicals is that it isn't covered by insurance.

Minute clinics do not do them, but there was one across from the minute clinic that did mine $7900. FastMed in Kernersville did mine. Walk-in.

Ok thanks ima try them bc I had scheduled an appointment at a doctors office and they told me it would be $165 for my first visit and that’s just too much.

Yes,

it is. I went to the minute clinic and the NP that was there directed me to them.
