  1. Disregard previous post apparently they are switching to a different publisher... ??
  2. In 111 it was like 7:00AM for 6 hours, then 112 7-7.
  3. yes you are correct...
  4. Yeah Lexington was an hour for me, but honestly it was totally WORTH it. It is small, the nurses are great. My first semester it was on Thursday. but others had Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. It all depends on the clinical instructor that you are assigned. Lexington came about in my NUR 111
  5. Yes, broken into Lecture, Lab, Pharmacology
  6. honestly I am old school! Hence the 80 in my user name stands for 1980... I personally like to highlight and most go by the book. the digital wasn't my thing
  7. 111 is usually 1 patient, I had 2 patients in 112, and 113 is a rotation around Women's hospital so those instructors have their own paperwork assignments.
  8. NUR 111 is a 6 hour clinic. everything past that is a 12 hour clinic day
  9. They expect you to have everything on the supply list. I wouldn't recommend working the first week of class... Things tend to change and we don't usually find out our clinical day until the first day of class.
  10. Hey all! Congrats on getting accepted!!!! I am now in NUR 113 this semester. Just to let you all know yes we have all white scrubs, ugh, my clinical day is Saturday and last minimester and in 111 any of the other days that do not have class is available for clinical rotation. I personally had Lexington medical Center, but other sites are Moses Cone, High Point, and Wesley long.
  11. Hi I am in the Fall 2018 ADN Program at GTCC. It is hard, however with that said, read what they tell you to read, PHARMACOLOGY!!! Learn the endings for the classifications, mechanisms of actions and prototype drugs. We basically learned the entire Dosage calc book. Skills Practice, Practice, Practice and be mindful of not contaminating your sterile field! Clinicals just breath and stay busy! Your first head to toe assessment on an actual patient is nerve wracking but necessary, and the head to toe check off infront of the instructor well like I said Just breathe! Good Luck and keep pushing forward!
  12. So they have assigned me to FJT03 which is the 8-10:40(50) AM class MTW. Anyone else here in that section? I am pretty sure our clinicals will be together also.
  13. Thanks for the info! The Nur 111 FJT02 and FJT01 no longer come up when you search Nursing sections. Now the only ones that come up are FJT 03&04. The schedules for those are a little different. Tuesday is mutual class @8 and the labs on Monday and Wednesday are either 8 or 12 which makes me have the dilemma of not knowing when or where to show up on Wednesday. Luckily we should have our schedule Monday according to the latest announcement. I sure hope our whole Nursing school experience is not this last minute each semester.
  14. As far as books and uniforms I am calling the book store tomorrow because I ordered mine online and it has never shipped...
  15. In my webadvisor they still have me in the old section FJT02 not sure if I should drop that and re register for one of the new sections or will they re assign me?
